David Cerny es un artista checo nacido en 1967 y considerado controvertido al realizar esculturas quietas o en movimiento con el objeto de protestar y provocar al espectador y cuyo inicio tiene lugar con “La revolución de terciopelo de 1989” en Checoslovaquia en contra de los comunistas.
David Cerny is a Czech artist born in 1967 and considered controversial when making still or moving sculptures in order to protest and provoke the spectator and whose beginning takes place with “The velvet revolution of 1989” in Czechoslovakia against the communists.
En este post voy a hablarles de sus obras en movimiento aunque David Cerny es un escultor muy conocido por los visitantes de Praga ya que tiene su propio museo en sus calles y no deja indiferente a ningún transeúnte.

“London Booster”.
Por divertida y llamativa les presento la escultura de David Cerny “London Booster” que creó en 2012 para los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres. Es un autobús inglés de dos plantas de color rojo con brazos con los que realiza flexiones, las ventanas que se convierten en pantallas y su parte trasera que se parece mucho a un gran culo humano. La pueden ver haciendo flexiones todos los días entre las 15,00 y las 15,30 horas en Chodov, al lado de la sede la compañía Agrofert.
I present the sculpture of David Cerny “London Booster” created in 2012 for the London Olympics. It’s a red two-story English bus with arms that flexes, the windows that turn into screens and its back that looks a lot like a big human ass. They can see it doing push-ups every day between 15.00 and 15.30 hours in Chodov, next to the headquarters of the company Agrofert.
